Comic books are much smaller and usually show a story through a series of books. A graphic novel is generally much bigger and (usually) conveys a whole story in one sitting. There's a difference between the two, trust me. o_o
And also, the characters in Watchmen aren`t superheroes ._. They`re more like vigilantes :D I guess D:

I have no doubt that the film will be good, but I don't think it`ll be "that" good. Personally I wasn`t into the scenes being slowed down in 300, especially not every five seconds and I feel it`ll be the same with this.
As much as I liked the graphic novel as well, there`s only so much they can show on screen, and I feel some important things may get removed and/or replaced.
It`ll be one of those films, for me at least, that everyone gets excited about, but it`ll not be all that amazing. It`ll be good, and I can imagine very entertaining, though.

300 is nowhere near the "novel" idea of great films, but put in the genre of action flicks it is decent. Watchmen is actually on the list of the 100 greatest novels . vv YOUREWINNER "hey nospoons if the300 spartans didnt win the fight against the proto-terrorists of days gone by the world would probably not be here this is thegreatest filmed proof of american antiterrorism"
Kid, are you high, or just mental?
Have you not seen what this kid has shrewdly observed? Personally i believe this kid is a savant for noticing that outstanding symbol in 300. He is like a regular Sherlock Holmes of the movie type. Good job YOUREWINNER, you are amazingly incredible. I applaud your keen observations.
