Of course they are held to a higher standard they are an occupying military force in an unstable country and their every move is watched not just by us and the media but also by the insurgents and any inappropriate actions can be turned into propaganda against both themselves and the government they are trying to install. Leading more locals to convert to extremism and to ultimately more deaths of coalition forces.

Yes, they should be held accountable--for serious crimes.
Yet every time a video pops up of a military person doing something because they're bored, the comments section is always laced with little gems like, "That our tax dollars hard at work," or "(S)he should know better! This is why the world hates us!"
It`s ridiculous. When you`re at work, how much time do you spend actually working? Do you never goof off? Play games? Taunt a coworker behind their back?
I do understand that military personnel are held to a higher standard than most other occupations, but at the same time, how can you expect every single person in the military to be completely serious for 8-48 hours at a time?
It just irritates me that most people blindly chastise the military without once remembering, hey: These jagoffs are the same kind of jagoff as you.
They shouldn`t be cut any slack if and when they are punished, but they shouldn`t be condemned just because they`re goofing off.

You're right, nobody can be sure if they`ll be able to cope with it...that`s what TRAINING is for.
Back up my story? What story? That mocking someone`s religion makes them less-inclined to be your friend? Do I really need to back that up?
Nobody is blaming the soldiers. You are right, they`re not Jesus. They are human. And like all humans, they are accountable for their actions if they act in an inappropriate manner. That is what is being said here.
If a soldier does something wrong, don`t you agree that they should be held responsible for it if the responsibility lies with them? You said yourself, they aren`t Jesus. Why should we excuse them doing bad things because they have a tough job?
If some soldiers got back home and murdered someone in a bar fight, would you be using the stress of their job as an excuse for their actions?
And if so, why not in this situation, with this video? Because it`s not as severe? Why does that matter?

I really don't like the arguments placing the blame on the men and women who signed up for the military.
Yes. Military service members volunteered for duty. That doesn`t automatically make them Jesus. They`re going to make mistakes. They`re going to drat off. They`re going to get stressed, vent, lash out, and do stupid poo, just to break up the monotony of life over there.
The thing that irks me, however, is most of you are so quick to blame your own countrymen, you don`t even bother to stop for half a second and try to reason with his situation. "OH! SOLDJURZ SHUD B ABL 2 B PURFEKT ALL HTE TIME! TEHY R R AMBADASDORS OVR TREHE!"
It`s useless to argue with people who blame our soldiers, because you`re too busy being self-righteous on behalf of another country to be open-minded about the kids from our own.
It`s easy to judge from the comfort of your own home.

NO amount of training and preperation can prepare a man for the stress of killing another living human being.
Anyone can join the military assuming they will handle it just to get a shocking revelation that it is actually terribly difficult.
And also, take your own advice. Don't insult religion especially when there are those who beleive in that religion around. Might cause some conflict.
Or, perhaps you do not care aboutr capturing our "hearts and minds" in this comment board. In which case, shut the drat up about it. Until you practice what you preach, no one here will want to hear the bullpoo you are spewing out. Back up your story mate. Until then, kindly keep quite so other, more open-minded commenters can make their posts.
