we don't kill starving humans because aid can (and may) be brought to them eventually. a baby whale is a WHOLE other story. They tried to save it, they couldn`t. And like someone said, they aren`t just gunna haul it wherever, because then what? It couldn`t be force fed. It`s too damn big.
And chaitanya, chile = very far from china. I don`t think China would even have the giant pool down the street from what is probly a very crowded harbor area.
the right thing was done. is it sad it had to happen this way? of course it is. I feel bad for the poor thing, but what was done was all that was left to do.

Wounds can solved most of time, with little medical attention. But, illness and lack of nutrition can only be solved if you have enough money. Still, they can't throw the baby whale in the back of a truck and haul it to a pool. And i`m assuming that HUGE nice pool behind a hotel is used for human swimming purposes. Which means, chlorine and other chemicals. Which would not be a option. I would be sickened though if they did some how manage to fully feed a baby whale, transport it, and keep it alive. We don`t even give that much care to humanity itself.
