Why are people saying they don't want to ride the Greyhound again? It`s already really unlikely for you to be on a bus and have someone being decapitated. If it has already happened once then if you think about it...it`s even less likely to happen again. Don`t let the crazy people win. There`s too many of them already :(

If you wanted everybody on that bus to put themselves in PSYCHO'S way when it was already too late and too dangerous to do anything for the person being stabbed, then you`re just plain sick.
Do you think everybody who was on that bus doesn`t feel like poo looking back and thinking about what they COULD have done had they only acted faster or had a clearer thought process? Obviously they`re going to be traumatized and shells of themselves for a long time to come but to blame them or judge them for what some psycho did is ridiculous. Blame the psycho. Have you ever been witness to an unprovoked and vicious murder in a confined space? Then shut the hell up. If you have, you would know better than to climb up onto your high horse and call those people cowards.

lizzybee16: yes, murder capital. Not RANDOM violence capital. I live in Winnipeg, and I'm sorry to say that I consider Portage to be the middle of nowhere too. Sorry.
Since hearing about this, I swear I haven`t been able to sleep. Everytime I close my eyes I see sick images of everything I`ve heard and read about this story and just ache for his poor family and those people on the bus. Imagine being behind them and having to run past some guy stabbing somebody else. It was bright outside and everything would have been right in plain view. I`m so disturbed by the whole thing.
Also, that psycho started with the victim`s neck. Neck + giant rambo knife + unexpected stabbing that nobody understands until it`s well underway = NO HOPE FOR THE VICTIM. It`s terrible and I wish I could believe I would have tackled the loon or attacked him in some way and been the hero, but there was nothing anybody could do.

livereg, Portage is not in the middle of nowhere. We're the 4th or 5th largest city in manitoba. Even that part of the highway is not the middle of nowhere. And random violence is NOT rare in this part of canada. Maniboba has the highest murder rate in relation to population in canada.
Sorry if i`m ranting. I just don`t like people to think where i live is in the middle of nowhere. People do it a lot.
