That it seems to require replacing the handgrip (which presumably contains the compressed gas) after each activation would seem to limit its utility. Otherwise, it's a weapon far more effective than a normal knife. It wouldn`t replace a gun, it would replace a standard knife. Presumably if you`re out of gas you can still use it like such. It might find itself banned by the Geneva convention though. Not that the US military pays any heed of that.

"stufftkid-- How dare you torture innocent animals with a heat gun!!! Also, dam you for having one, I've wanted one for years, even before I knew they were actually realistic weapons. Those dam cats on my property are just asking for it..."
[lie] Well...erm... it wasn`t my idea. [/lie]
"Well..it looks like the ADS is a type of DEW. DEW is a a category of weapons, ADS is a weapon."
That sounds reasonable.
"And about the DEW and other thing situation. One of them is a rifle Dew and the other one is a huge ass mounted machine. I saw it on future weapons "
OH! MR EXPERT! SOMONES EJUKATED CUZ HE WATCHED FUTURE WEPINS!
ha, jk. but although your theory sounds reasonable, id have to say that siyanor is more correct, because i have heard of mounted DEWs and handheld ones and different names for them.
