so... do companies actually pay for their products to be advertised in films?

if not why do films have product placement?

and that Men in Black one was just dumb, you couldnt even see the logo and all he said was coke, didnt even say coca-cola. And how can you run down Home Alone!! the guy whinges too much.

The only reason that the product placement can ruin the moment in a movie, or at least for this guy, is because the author of that page obviously puts the thought about product placement to the front of his train of thought when he is watching movies. So when product placement scenes come up in a movie, this guy gets all butt hurt because it ruined the moment. The only reason he noticed all this product placement is because that's what he is looking for!
My advice, pay attention to the plot of the movie, not the products being advertised in it.
