"How did this turn into a slam fest against J.K. Rowling? Who cares if Dumbledore is gay? The books were enjoyable, I read them on the advice of a friend. In my opinion the story took such a dark turn in the third book, that it really was no longer a children's story, but was better suited to more mature readers. I would venture that wolfio never read the books... or tried to, and didn`t finish because he didn`t like the story. Either way, the vast majority of the Western world seemed to think they were very good. I too intend to read them again this summer after I have finished Stephen King`s "The Dark Tower" series."
Very well said! Love the books, love Dumbledore =D

Great speech.. if you haven't got the attention span of a gnat (ie most of the above)search the U-Tube bar for the second half where she talks about imagination Despite her books she comes across as a woman of suprising depth
