I've played the latest PC games such as Assassin`s Creed and Crysis. The graphics are marvelous, but the gameplay... not so much. These games were loaded with repetitions and vast padding. Storywise, they were so-so (Creed`s ending, much?). I didn`t enjoy any of those games, Bioshock was the exception, though.
After playing such high-specs games, I find myself going back for my NDS and GBA. I find myself enjoying games like Ace Attorney a whole lot more, despite the lack of voices, anime graphics, etc...

"i dont get it he hates long cutscenes but he loves 20 minute long FFVII cutscenes"
The 20 minute long FFVII cutscenes were RELEVANT. They built up plot and character development. Watching the 'boss` of the stage at extreme close up and having to listen to his nine hour speech about how he`s going to destroy you is not relevant.

Never EVER compromise the story with a hack writer. It devastates the game on so many levels. Also, good voice actors and writers don't EVER taint a game with a disgusting dialog cliche!
I`m of course referring to "Obscure" on the PS2, and the quote "Wow, what a sticky situation." coming from a kid in HIGH SCHOOL.
