millions of dollars of research for this pile of crap?

what's the point?

and for the time it took to repair itself, it would probably be easier to make another chair.
Or fix a chair yourself.

who would want an auto-repair chair in their household?

I read about this in a magazine that for some reason came in my mail, Border Crossing.

The chait while in exposition is the middle of a white room, and just plops whenever.

I wouldn't be surprised if they would market this. I mean, they do sell flashlights that recharge on solar power. It`s absolutely true, I`ve seen them on a store shelves.
Oh, I`ve seen that on the Discovery Channel. They probably posted that first on their Daily Planet. And I could use that on someone I can`t stand to see!

I agree, this is a nice advance towards having robots that can repair themselves, but I can't think of an everyday use for this robot chair other than just easy storage. Even then, it needs to work faster. That was rather slow. =/
