What are we supposed to be seeing here? Obviously no one was hit by the damaged car, we SEE it slow and stop, and no one moves toward it. If someone was hit, people would be trying to help the victim. It looks like the car hit a parked truck, which says nothing about the safety of the crossing. Also the reporter says "The driver wasn't hurt, but after the brief shock, was able to tell us what happened...", but the woman she speaks to is obviously standing on the curb BEFORE the crash and is NOT the driver. (The driver appears to be a man) The woman tells about her son`s accident, treatment, and long-term prognosis, so she`s talking about something that happened in the PAST! This is absolutely shoddy journalism trying to sensationalize a nothing story about a curb-crossing. Yay BBC.
