They didn't even say they were offended by it. Maybe they were, I don`t know, but all they said was that they didn`t find it funny. But then a couple of people assumed that they meant they found it insulting, or maybe thought it was a criticism of those who did find it funny. But no one said anything like that at all.
I AM making judgements, but not about whether you found the rape joke funny.

The point I was making was that I don't care whether you liked the rape joke or not, I was just saying that a couple of people expressed their own personal reaction to the clip and they got called douchebags for it, even though they made no comment about people who DID like the rape joke. We don`t all have to find the same things funny, so if someone doesn`t find something funny that you do, then deal with it. They shouldn`t have to find it funny if they don`t want to.
I don`t care if you find the rape joke funny or not, as long as I`m allowed to NOT find the rape joke funny.
You can call me uptight all you want, it doesn`t bother me. I accept that I probably am uptight. But I reserve the right to be uptight.

Just because a couple people didn't enjoy the rape part of it, doesn`t mean you have to insult them. Far as I could tell they were just giving their honest evaluation and own response to it, and I can understand why they might feel that way. I don`t see them criticising anyone who disagreed with them.
Even rifter who`s worked with victims of sexual aggression admitted that one mention of the joke would have been okay, he just didn`t like how they dragged it out. And I agree with him.
I did find it a funny, but I agree with rifter that them keeping on coming back to it put me off a little.
