The thing to keep in mind about the linked article is that the _15_ cartoon intros were considered PAINFULLY UNFORGETTABLE by the author(s). This has absolutely no bearing on other cartoons, whose intros were painfully unforgettable or no.
That being said, I highly disagree with the rankings of said 15 shows. I can't believe they ranked Tiny Toons at the bottom yet had Animaniacs at the top. Had Tiny Toons`, with their self-explanatory narration, not been such a hit in the early `90s, no one would have written the Animaniacs` intro in such a similar manner.
Also, I guess I`m too much of a "classic" Transformers fanboy. I love that damn song.
However, I really, REALLY hate the Mighty Max show. Then again, I found the toys long before the show was created and thought that aping on the concept was a stupid idea. Add to that the casting of Rob Paulsen, who has played more cartoon characters than ANYONE, EVER.

No Darkwing Duck? Also no Ghostbusters. Transformers, TMNT and Sonic were the shizznit. Biker Mice from Mars would have kicked arse too. Even, get this, CowBoys form Moo Mesa! And Bucky O' Hare.

xxminglexx, I think there used to be two different sonic cartoons at the time: the more cartoony one with Scratch and Grounder and then the more dramatic one with the Freedom Fighters
