To deadman, I doubt it. I don't know much about the properties of electricity but I`d imagine the movement of the bolt would resemble the path of the electrons which can be described as random at best. Look up the Uncertainty Principle.

I thought of the same thing as well, but the bolts seem to corresponds with the Uncertainty Principle, in that different sounds present the bolt in certain definable regions (such as striking the rod, ground and air).

Plus you can`t forget about naturally occurring charged particles in the environment. That would definitely attract the bolt as well.
