definately takes about 5-6 minutes of shaking if you want it pretty good... probably 10 minutes if you want it to be really firm. i used hot cocoa stuff and it was taasssty. definately worth the time and effort. just keep adding salt if you feel the ice is melting and warming up. put about 2 teaspoons of sugar in and about 4 teaspoons of powder for good taste. hope this helps. overall... definately worth it, it was really good.

I havent read all the comments so this may have already been said but: i saw this on TV a while ago. The salt lowers the ice temperature and speeds the melting of the ice, and the heat comes from the centre - the ice cream. As the heat leaves that bag, it freezes. Also, someone said they think his language isn't English. Unless I`m very much mistaken, it is French, because he had a bag from the French Supermarket, Champion.
