AtomicMuffin: In parts of Canada we have bylaws that keep smokers from smoking basically anywhere but outside. (which must kind of kill the fun of it in the winters, but hey, to each his own, right?) So, people can't smoke inside malls, restaurants, grocery stores, hospitals, etc. And technically they`re not supposed to smoke within 20 feet of the entrances to these places either. But they do. So when I go to the mall, or to the hospital, I have to wade through a crowd of people standing there smoking. I`ve tried holding my breath, but the crowds can be rather large. It`s scary to think that when my baby is born, his/her first breath of "fresh air" will be secondhand smoke. (Patients hang out at the front doors because they`re too "sick" to miss their smoke breaks...) Also, Minya has a good point. And that`s how I`m forced to breathe in secondhand smoke. (which has been proven to cause lung cancer, by the way)
