Personally I think its good idea.
You have to realize fear is good, but it can also inhibit you from doing things that aren't really dangerous. In extreme chances if your unlucky they are.
Because you have no fear, doesn`t mean you will become instantly stupid. Such as, people are afraid of guns and people shooting them. Ok, we remove that fear, you still know "Someone shooting a gun at me = death" But because you have no fear syndrome, you can actively think without being inhibited and make a smarter decision on how to react and get away. It does not mean your going to charge face first into the guy to stop him.

I wonder what the side effects are, but other than that, it can't be that bad unless people start screwing around with it. This stuff is supposed to only remedy memories associated with fear rather than the fear itself. So no painful and traumatic past to recall = no painful and traumatic past to fear...or something like that. Would probably be pretty useful for crippling fears.

Actually, that was not sarcasm. Sorry if you took that wrong. Out of all the comments yours was the only one to show that you actually read the article. Everyone else I can tell read the first 2 paragraphs, became alarmed, then commented away without having any idea what they were commenting on.
