First of all the cpu cannot uncover and attack on the same turn. If you uncover a vulnerable piece, it can then attack you. Second, it is not all luck and those who think it is are just not very good. You have an equal number of pieces so whose piece is uncovered is random depending on which square you pick but that does not mean the game is not skill based. Some strategy tips: Don't uncover adjacent pieces if you can avoid it. Let the CPU do that so you have first attack advantage. If the opponent`s king is uncovered before any adjacent spaces are uncovered, quickly uncover the spaces surrounding the King. You are most likely to uncover a pawn and he will be trapped. Get the opponent`s King and Queen before losing yours and nothing else matters. There`s more for you to figure out on your own but this game is definitely skill based.
