Hehe, if I were the Dell Tech, I would have kept asking pointless questions until he gets so fed up he hangs up. For ex.
"What did you have for dinner last night?" "What is your favorite type of music?" "*ahem* Why do you still live with your mother?" "How many times do you go to the bathroom per day?" "Do you do #1 or #2 more frequently?" "What is wrong with your computer again? *waits 5 minutes while he explains* I'm sorry did you say something?" "So what toppings would you like on your pizza?" "Are you homo-sexual?" "What is your mother`s name?" "Is your head on fire?"
And stupid stuff like that....and then I would be fired XD lol

Ok, I actually work in a call center and the rep was not being a jerk at all. What most people don't realize, if someone calls for information for a product that has personal information attached to it, customer service reps have to verify the info BEFORE disclosing information on the account. If we don`t do this, we get fired. It`s not worth losing a job because some non-nice individual doesn`t feel like verifying information, the whole thing takes 30 seconds of the customer`s time. I get non-nice individuals like this everyday that yell at me because they don`t feel like giving their name. The nice thing about my job is if I get an abusive customer, I`m allowed to hang up.
