Since when are serious issues a laughing matter?
Maybe for the lot of you who haven't had people like that in your life it`s all sorts of sh-ts and giggles, but for anyone who`s had anything remotely similar to that happen there`s nothing funny about it at all.
I know it`s a mockery of people who cry wolf all the time, but even the people crying `wolf` to suicide are `crying for help`. Often it`s just in the wrong place.
Everyone who finds that funny (and sadly, I`m including people I often respect in this group) needs to re-evaluate their own levels of compassion for other people.
There`s a whole lot of areas of gray in here where `ok, it`s a good mockery` vs `that was awful`... but people should seriously leave that stuff alone.
Go ahead and tell me to `lighten up` but frankly, I can`t ignore the world`s problems and pretend everything is peachy. I have a respect for myself and everyone else that prevents that. Find yours.
