"All disorders can be eventually over come but to just simply give in and hack off ones own legs is selfish and moronic."
Is an obsessive-compulsive who must repeatedly ascend and descend stairs moronic or selfish for indulging his disorder? The same can't be said for them, why can it be said for these people?
"It may be their bodies to change or mutalate as they see fit but once it hinders others around them its no longer just their problem."
And this somehow justifies berating them for doing only what they feel\felt is\was natural? In my opinion I think they suffer from a form of body dysmorphic disorder, and if so, we should treat them accordingly, regardless what kind, if any, hindrance they pose.
One of these days, society is just going to have to acknowledge the fact that not everyone is well-adjusted or chemically-balanced and functions on the same level we do, and that despite this, we`re all still human beings.
