Wow, the camera setup makes the video look like the guy is actually in the air, flying!

Yeah, he's pretty much described the set-up with the gyros etc.. wouldn`t be hard to replicate that set-up using micro controllers to transfer the head to camera positional information. Getting enough RF bandwidth for the video would be a pain.

Some guys in 4th year enginnering undergrad are designing a similar system (though not head controlled) mounted on a RC hovercraft.

Ok first of all i did the research and something like that would cost from 300-400 dollars depending on where you are. Its possible and very easy to do. The googles are normaly used for Flight Sim games and work great. Im sure thats where this guy got the idea from. Good Job to him.
