Yeah, hippies smell, and beatniks seem so quaint, but they laid the groundwork for some serious social change, and the way in which we think of ourselves as humns, and americans. Today wadda ya got? "retro" punk rockers... "Emo", im gonna be sick, where are the people who are creating, making the world a better place?? Ill tell ya, its the "Fags". They are the new hippies. Making social progress, equality, chalenging existing thought processes, Oh, the "Potheads" and "druggies" also fit into all of the preceeding stereotypes. So, in short, EMO=bad hair/attitude, Beatnicks are the "OG's" (unless you count flappers in the 30`s) Hippies =used to smell, now they just sell, and Homos and stoners= the only thing saving us from evangelical christians. God help all our sorry asses.
