The results seemed pretty accurate. I would say that the pen/pencil is most important.

Yeah< I read that part, and their logic is flawed. An Axe is a combination of simple machines (a wedge and an inclined plane) whereas the knife is simple a wedge. And a wedge that gets listed TWICE with the sword (THRICE uf you want to count the chisel.)

Also, wouldn't the Flint & Steel be more signifigant than the candle. The candle can merely sustain fire, something a dry log can do. A Flint & Steel can create fire, and is still used today in out modern lighters.

The listmakers explaining their oversights does not excuse them.

If you would read the part that says, "read more about how we developed the rankings," then you would understand why the computer, wheel, steem engine, hammer, and plow were not on the list.

no integrated circuit if not for that computers would not be what they are today let alone cellphones mp3 players calculators.

I agree these people need to learn how to a make god dam list
