It's not all that stupid. I mean, think about it. If you`re never had any sort of radio device, then the idea of it would be odd to you.

I wasn't neccessarily saying ecologists were behind Y2K predictions. I was saying that, especially since the 60s, the 70s and the 80s, there have been soo many "doomsday" scientists abd `ecologists` that have predicted soo much crap that hasn`t come true or near to comming true, that I was surprised I didn`t see any of it.

But you`re right. Quack `scientists` `doomsday-ecologists` or religious doomsday prophets shouldn`t be looked at seriously anyway.
