I think, just like daseeg, that TV networks are part of the problem in America. In particular television news brought by Fox turns out to be extremely twisted. It's not surprising that Geraldo is almost begging to leave out spin and all that other sh#t; he apparently knows too well what Fox is all about. You can only feel sorry for those viewers who completely rely on that network.

nothing in these vids, and your responses surprises me, living in canada we are all to well aware that your news media sugar coats and hides the real news from you. they did it on your war on terrorism, not telling you how many soldiers were actually being killed. and now this.

My thing is, stop trying to bring politics into a disaster like this. Get them out of the city to shelters that are safe and help them there. Don't trap them in the city. The worst factor, which is disease, has yet to settle into the area, and when it does, thousands more will die.
Probably the one thing I don`t understand is why they haven`t moved them out yet. They had a great point: conditions were much better if only they were allowed to walk away and head to the next town, but they`re being held in.
I don`t care who`s right and who`s wrong and who`s racist and who`s whatever. Get them out. Help them. Get them back on their feet. THEN, AND ONLY THEN, will I be fine with all this political bickering. PEOPLE ARE SUFFERING AND DYING, PLEASE CHOOSE A BETTER TIME TO RAMBLE ON ABOUT WORTHLESS POLITICS THAT HAVE NO MEANING IN A SITUATION SUCH AS NEW ORLEANS IS IN.

I've seen pictures now on the news of the empty interior of the Superdome, and the full, sane Astrodome. They`re outta there now.
