I actually see no problem with this. If you want a child by your husband and that's not an option, the next best thing would be his father. It`s only people`s hang-ups on family ties that get in the way. It isn`t like they`re saying "hey, go have sex with your father-in-law" - it`s an impersonal process.

I think it would depend a lot on the emotional standing in the family . Problematic probably, but not insurmountable in a healthy family. as far as self satisfaction, aren't all children a form of that

Well, that's different. I suppose it`s the closest possibility in biological terms and that would be important to some people in terms of bloodlines, but I think it could get very emotionally messy.

Not sure that's that huge of a deal all things considered. If they are concerned with passing on the bloodline this would make sense no?
