As a victim of a serious dog bite, videos like this scare the crap out of me. You'd be surprised how much damage even a dog that size could do if it bit you as hard is it could.

This is likely bad training, but it could just be an @$$hole dog. If a dog of mine growled at me like that, I'd smack the $#!+ out of him. If he did it again, I`d take him to the pound.

I had a standard poodle like this when I was younger. He was bigger than normal, biggest dog we ever owned, and his growl was deep and constant like this dogs. I remember no one could touch my mother without this kind of a reaction. He never bit me though and I made a game of it, I'd get right up face to face too. He would even growl at you even when he was licking you.
One of the best dogs I ever owned, had a hell of a personality. He was also as you can imagine one awesome guard dog too. You could actually tell his moods from the kind of growling he was doing. Growling and showing his teeth was actually a positive thing for him, only time he wouldn`t do those things was when he really was about to bite. The BG&E guy who walked into our backyard unannounced found that out the hard way.
