Turdburglar just so I'm clear you are 100% right. I do not feel sorry for a thief that gets shot. What I do "feel" is what are the consequences of allowing such actions? If someone is stealing your stuff and you don`t know their intent and they are in your house guess what, you have free range to shoot. Because you don`t know the intent. However, if someone causes the thieves to flee and gives chase and kills one of them I`m NOT ok with that. It`s not because I feel sorry for anyone it`s because the precedence it sets. It is the acceptance that your belongings are greater than a human life and it`s breach of the system of justice we have in place. The penalty for theft is not death. Nor should it be.

Before I get too much bleeding heart complaints just remember, my first comment was clear. Drawman is anti-American troll who pry's his irrational fear of inanimate objects into any comment possible. I was replying to him.

Jamie - Refer to my last comment, and add the fact that I never said that shooting an unarmed criminal isn't a crime. It is. That`s why I won`t be the one doing it.
I have no sympathy for violent criminals. I find it sad that you people care so much for the worst kind of people enough to punish their victims with murder charges. The criminals planned out their actions. The victims have to make a split second reaction to their violence.
In many cases it`s against the law to shoot an unarmed person, but if they do...I would like their sentencing to reflect the fact that they were forced to make a choice by the violent criminal. I wouldn`t call it murder, but other charges may be more fitting.
That's fine. I never said they deserve to die, just that I don`t care.
I find it completely disingenous when people play the part of "I have better morals than you" on the internet. I sincerely doubt you ACTUALLY care.
It`s more like "I want to feel like a good person, so I act like I actually care".
I won`t bother caring about a dead criminal I hear about on the internet or news. You can say you feel bad for them, but I don`t believe it. It`s just your way of putting me down, and feeling better about yourself.
At least I`m being truthful to myself and you.
Saying you care doesn`t count, it requires actions. Not caring is honest and easy. Don`t forget, we are on the internet.
