Great story Listypoos
I can't use a pogo stick for poo so I know what you mean about unusual contraptions being hard. I ride a bycicle and thinking about the overall front and back balence to the equation, I`d say it`s about learning to use your legs to hold it steady when needed and learning how to move your unicycle with your upperbody while using legs for gyro control when in motion. Therefore going backwards and forwards can be learnt. I`ve never even tried riding one before.

A few years ago me and my then missus were watching a music video and there was a unicycle in it and I made a throw-away comment about wanting to try it when I was a kid.
A couple of weeks later it was father's day and I awoke to find she`d bought me a unicycle from the kids.
Well... how hard can it drating be I thought...clowns and hipsters do it, I know I`ll go on youtube watch a few tutorials and I`ll be whizzing round the garden on it in no time.
And I was right... if by `round the garden` I`d actually meant `off to hospital`.
feck it`s a lot harder than it looks... my first attempt was with her helping me onto it in our hallway so that I could then hold myself up with my hands on the walls either side.
well, when she let go I stayed upright for about the same length of time it takes a caesium atom to vibrate...then i not only fell off it backwards but took all the pictures off our walls as I flailed about desperately.
