Trump Baby To Fly Over London

Submitted by: Gerry1of1 2 months ago in News & Politics

The Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, has given the go-ahead for a giant helium-filled “angry baby” balloon of Donald Trump to fly over the British capital during the US President’s first official visit to the UK next week.

Campaign groups and trade unions are organizing a full schedule of protests to greet Trump when he lands on July 13 and the balloon to fly over Parliament Square here is expected to be the centerpiece. Protesters are also planning a "Stop Trump" march through central London on the same day.

"He is a deeply insecure man, and that is the only leverage we have over him. If we want his attention, we have to do something that humiliates him," said Leo Murray, an environmental campaigner behind the crowd-funded balloon stunt.

He described the inflatable "blimp" as an "obscene mutant clone of the President" and says it will "hold up a huge mirror of truth" to the world. "We want to make sure he knows that all of Britain is looking down on him and laughing at him," Murray said. Source: The Independent

I cannot believe how offensive this is.
Would Americans float a giant disgusting cartoonish ballon of the queen on the street with the mayors permission if the queen was visiting the U.S?
I don't think even you guys would do that.
I apologise on behalf of my English ancestors.

emmettyville I think it's bloody hilarious- the twat wanted to play politics- well this is it. A large balloon is far less offensive than imprisoning children, or depriving citizens of healthcare, or stirring up hate against anyone with a tan, or insisting that a well educated articulate and attractive president must be a muslim kenyan simply because he is black.

emmettyville Feelings in the UK run stronger against this POTUS than do feelings in the US toward HRH.

The dislike is really quite intense and directed towards the individual. Naturally we are going to do something like this.

emmettyville "I cannot believe how offensive this is."

Its actually pretty common for fucktards in England to do this stuff. a giant balloon isn't even that bad. When Scotland had the independence referendum, in Lewes they made an effigy of Alex salmon (our first minister at the time) and blew it up with fire works. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gIBAOlj_Al0

They did the same thing with Trump in 2016 - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IOZeTIx0uCQ

there's also pics of others they went on to burn in that vid - Theresa May, Seb Blatter, Wayne Rooney(Shrek) ect.

So yeh, if you think a giant balloon of trump is offensive, just know it could be far worse.

I'm sure the streets will be lined with paid protesters also. The people of Britain have no voice in government anymore. Brexit is dead.

After his official visit, he wants to have a wee golf break in Scotland... which will cost the UK government up to £5millon in security costs.

Why the fuck should we pay for that prick to have a safe holiday?

layla_wilson How can this be?  Trump railed against the time Obama spent golfing, and promised that he would be too busy making deals to golf

layla_wilson just becoming as you become I top political official doesn't mean you have to give up your entire personal life.
If everyone loved and embraced president Trump they wouldn't have to worry about assassination.
And you know the tax money would be wasted anyway. Lol

dm2754 Why should everyone love and embrace a mentally deranged, racist, fascist, narcissistic, egotistical twat?

if this was 1935 and Hitler was coming to visit, would you expect everyone to love and embrace him?

and yes I know the tax money is wasted anyway, but still, he should foot the bill for his own security. its not our fault everyone hates him, its his.

layla_wilson I would have to agree with most of your description of Donald Trump. Except the fascist part. There's nothing about him that makes him a fascist feel free to elaborate.
Comparing Hitler to Trump is just ridiculous. Adolf Hitler was loved and embraced everywhere he went in the early 30s. America's Time magazine named him man of the year. There's a wonderful picture of him having dinner was King George and Elizabeth.
Adolf Hitler was well-spoken intelligent dignified charismatic and a megalomaniac.

dm2754 Adolf Hitler was loved and embraced by other fascists in the early 30's, plenty of people wanted him dead though. Hitler got on extremely well with the British royal family because they were supporters of his policies. The turning point for the Royals was the Blitz. Up until then they were actively meeting and supporting Hitler, behind the back of the British government.

If you think a picture of them having dinner is wonderful, what do you think of the one of Edward VIII teaching a young Elizabeth II(the queen) how to Sieg Heil?

dm2754 Time Magazine makes the most influential person the "Man of the Year" not the nicest person. Hitler got it because he was influential in 1938, even then  he was considered the enemy. He'd just invaded the Czechs and taken Austria.   Osama Bin Laden almost got it in 2002.

Why this was a terrible idea:
, Trump really is a baby that throws Tantrums. He's likely to try to get back at the UK by putting in trade sanctions. This is a problem because America is the UK's largest trade partner. 70% of all goods manufactured in the United Kingdom are sold in the US.

It's also showing that many people in the UK are just as Petty and childish as Trump is

dm2754 "70% of all goods manufactured in the United Kingdom are sold in the US."

Where have you pulled that statistic from? the UK exports around £45mil worth of goods to the US, and exports £134mil to the EU...

layla_wilson it's hard to find up-to-date information.
There is a few ways of look at the numbers. Volume, price, variety. But all scores do argee that the USA is the number trade partner.
Look at the numbers in 2008 for the us & uk.
And that's not even getting into the amount of Revenue brought in by American tourists.

I got my information from a manufacturing magazine news article
