Not sure about the authenticity of the meal, but in this case what do I know. The C rations that I used in the mid 1970s were eatable (may I say that all respect to those guys that lived on this shit for months at a time) but also packaged in the Second World War. If anyone has any experience with modern MRIs (think thats what there called now) would like a quick review if you don't mind.
daegog I think it's a joke as i think it was posted april first, i could be wrong. I agree though, MREs are mostly freeze-dried soups or pastas with a cookie or MnM , this one had whole shrimp, that's definitely sketchy.

Fried chicken crunchy and edible after being in a bag room temperature and then boiled in a bag?
This is obviously a joke.

Fried Chicken AND Shrimp in one "random" ration?
That said, I would have killed for this in my MRE back in the day. My MREs were various types of goopy shit and some stale old M&Ms.
2. Give it a fruity name.
3. Sell it to the dipshits in Los Angeles at 100-times its cost.
4. Profit.
