World's Tallest Teen Is Over 7-Feet-Tall And Eats 8,000 Calories A Day

He's being called the tallest teen in the world! Brandon Marshall, 16, of England, measures at 7 feet, 4 inches!  "I was about 6'7" when I was 13," he says. "I started to grow a lot more by then." Doctors say he's still growing, and because of his height, Brandon has to eat 8,000 calories day. His mom says everything has to be custom-made for him but one of his biggest problems is buying shoes.

Pro cyclists eat up to 10,000 calories a day and burn it all.  Since he's still growing, and seems reasonably active, his body is using most of those for growth.

Many giants have glandular issues, but he doesn't seem to have the huge jaw, brow ridges, and hands that are the sign of this.  (see Andre the giant).  So hopefully he won't have the health issues that go along with that.  Plus you also have to be reasonably athletic with some skills in order to succeed at basketball.  It does little good to be eight feet tall when the opposing 6' 10'' center can beat you down the court and score every time.

stevopusser My first thought was pituitary tumor. He does not have the classic look for it, but I am sure he has been scanned a few hundred times to ensure this is not the case. That said, he is at risk for cardiovascular problems due to his stature.

Brandon might be thought to be the world's tallest teen, but the record would actually go to Robert Bobroczky ( https://tallguysfree.com/robert-bobroczky ), who is 7 foot 7 (231 cm) and age 17.

My Guess is he's trying to bulk up for basketball, because he can make a fortune there simply on his size alone.

normalfreak2 He has to stop growing soonish tho.  If he gets to 7'8+ he might become too brittle to play.

He'll never sit in a sports car and won't enjoy air travel. He might not even fit in a lift.

If he stops growing soon, he will make millions of dollars a year, if he keeps growing, well that story wont have a happy ending.
