What The Hell Is Inside Sweden’s Gigantic Solar Egg?

Submitted by: fancylad 3 months ago in Science Weird

Moving homes can be a tough adjustment, but moving an entire town? In Kiruna, Sweden, an entire community is being forced to move due to ground complications caused by a nearby ore mine. During this potentially chaotic time, residents are being brought together by the Solar Egg, a cozy sauna created to serve as a think tank. The social sculpture has become an escape, a place to gather, connect and brainstorm ideas.

The yolks on them..... it's eggceptionally expensive to build for a sauna.

But maybe it will help some people come out of their shell.

I see the creators are trying to sell it, but i must be missing something fundamental.  Is there a functional difference between this and a "regular" sauna?

It's just a sauna shaped like a golden egg...I hate when artists try to rebrand their creations. Call it what you will, it is just a sauna and its only use is to...saun-ate
