This weekend, Hafthor Björnsson earned a spot in the record books. Competing in the 2018 Arnold Strongman Classic, Björnsson set a world record for the raw deadlift with a 1,041-pound lift. It’s something you have to see to believe.

dat shit is cray cray. i used to weight train alot and i consider myself a pretty strong person. that said, at the pinnacle of my ability i deadlifted 485 pounds. 

i cant even imagine lifting what those men just lifted, what power!

I just noticed, he does it in socks - presumably because that means that's just that bit less height to lift the weights...

Unfortunately due to his size he's likely to die early.  In either case The Mountain is truly a monster.  He's awesome!

OMG.  did you see that first guys nose and mouth bleed?  gross.  can't be good for you at weights that high.  most of these guys will die an early death.  unfortunately.
