dm2754 Not just funny. Also very intelligent.
His speeches and lectures are always worth the watch.
His books are a good read also.
And you can't beat his audio books of the Harry Potter series.

Gerry1of1 it's just a different funny. Not the kind of funny you grew up with. You should see Hong Kong humour or Thai humour or Japanese humour. Different things appeal to different cultures. Seeing a dog set up to be shocked or killed by an eel is evidently funny by American standards, but I don't see the laughs in that.

Draculya I didn't say he isn't funny. I think he's funny as hell in Bit of Fry & Laurie and Jeeves and Wooster and Fry was BRILLIANT in Blackadder.   But Fry is also all those other things.

Gerry1of1 I think the Jim Dale HPs where much better. Yes, some of his His speeches and lectures are great. I just don't find him funny.

dm2754 I didn't know Jim Dale had done an HP. About 40 years ago I did some work as an  extra,  great fun.  Most of the " talent " treat you like props ( which is basically what you are ) but Jim was a top bloke and was always cracking jokes.  Once there were about 30 of us in chain mail and helmets outside Alnwick castle waiting until we were needed.  Instead of retiring to his trailer he rode up and down the path delivering a stand up routine from  horseback.  Most down time he was in the boiler room playing poker with the crew. Lovely feller.

dm2754 Please post something you think funny,  because mostly you are just being a drag.

That was fun, thanks.
