Hey all, it's is a traditional Open Forum. I wanted to post this one early to give everyone a few days to read, comment, and so on.
So a few bits of IAB housekeeping:
1. IAB has mods again.
I've asked a handful of you if you're interested so if you get an email from me in the email you used to sign up on this site, that's me asking you if you're interested. Ideally, I'd like to get around 10 or 15 irregular regulars set up with mod status. As I've told the users, the duties are simple -- just keep the message boards friendly. So far, littlemissqt and normalfreak2 have signed on. I'll announce the rest as they accept.
2. IAB's verified users.
This is trickier. In an attempt to eliminate "sock puppets," I'm trying to devise a way to verify accounts without being a creeper about it. I saw that Fojos posted a link to proof that he was indeed Fojos. IAB isn't Twitter or Facebook so it's not going to be impossible to accomplish this task, I just need to figure out a way to verify everyone who wants to be verified without being too demanding or intrusive. In other words, I don't want you to have to submit your drivers license along with a cotton swab of your saliva. Any suggestions?
3. A million apologies to Squrlz.
I let you down, man. It's nobody's fault but mine, obviously. Hope you come back, but I understand if you don't.
I think that's all for now. I'm hoping I can get the verified user project off the ground by Monday. It's all going to depend on if Sunny can carve some time out of his weekend. I'll answer all questions as they're posted, if there are any.
Survive the weekend.
Yours in perpetuity, fancylad
