Looking forward to it. I geek out for this stuff.  My only concern is how lame most of the CGI villains have been in superhero movies.  Marvel has done well with the Hulk, so I'm hoping for the best here

If the movie doesn't end with Thanos with all 6 gems and the snap of this fingers, I will be very disappointed.

Pffft I know how it will end (SPOILERS): Avengers VS Thanos cartoon
Just look at the cast - it's well over 50! And I thought the original Avengers cast was large...
The only reason i'll watch this disaster movie is too see how they ruin the franchise.
(Sarcasm level: over 9000!)

Okay - I know there might be a lot of debate on this, but could someone list all of the MCU films that you would say are "required" viewing leading up to this one?  There have been so many that I have missed a few.

daegog damn it I edited your post instead of replied.  I'm sorry.

I believe the flower is due to the Soul Gem being in Wakanda.  When they drank the "flower" I Believe that to be the affect of the Soul Gem.

faustsshadow I shall try to recall a bit.. The first avengers had 2 infinity stones (mind and space).. the 2nd thor had one (reality).. the first guardians of the galaxy had a stone (power).. Doctor Strange had a stone (time).. I do not think they ever said where the last stone was, the soul gem.

daegog My Theory is the Purple Flower's affect is due to the Soul Gem and the source of the power of the Black Panther.  It would also explain why there's a huge battle in Wakanda.

normalfreak2 Well, its possible i suppose, I could have sword fiege said they didn't want to put the gem there specifically to keep wakanda its own thing, but who knows.

Maybe vision or strange is there or maybe thanos identified wakanda as the most problematic army on the planet is wants to remove it from the situation?

Well we will see in a month!

Very cool! Only thing I worry about is Thanos doesn't sound like I would think he would sound like. Kind of like how Ultron did not sound like someone to be feared. After all this buildup, I want to be terrified of Thanos. I hope they pull that off.

Hell F'n yes.  I have faith in Kevin Feige to tell the story as it should be.  I'm hoping this follows Thanos as the primary focus of the story.  It's time to give a bad guy, especially Thanos, a time to shine.  He's a great Character and it would be DIFFERENT and new.  The Hype is real for me.  Infinity War was an incredible story.  I hope it get's the justice it deserves on the big screen.

I have to admit, I am excited to see all of these characters on the screen together and to have a live action version of The Infinity War.  I'm also curious how the Marvel Universe will continue after these 2 films are over.

I haven't liked all of the Marvel films but I must give credit where credit is due, this is quite an accomplishment.

Looks good to me. I notice that Baby Groot seems to have reached adolescence in this movie.

Also, the superhero movies of recent decades are an interesting cultural phenomenon, analogous to the gods and mortals of classical Greek theater, when you think about it. One thousand years hence, assuming we haven't nuked ourselves into oblivion, I wonder if literature and visual arts majors will be studying "The American Superhero Golden Age, 1995-2045"?

melcervini Oh!  O.O  Thanks. I'm a little confused on the whole generations-versus-cuttings things when it comes to plant people, I guess.

squrlz4ever I was too, and moreso because I've never read the comics so the movies are the only real exposure I've had to the Marvel Universe.

melcervini Ahhh... thanks for sharing that tweet. So Baby Groot is, in fact, Groot Junior. Thank you.

squrlz4ever Baby Groot is just Groot even though he's Groot's son.  Since the only thing the race can say is "I am Groot" they are all Groot.  And there's a debate whether on not Groot's son is really a son.  If I take a branch from an apple tree and grow a new apple tree with it, is the new apple tree the son of the first one or just a clone? So is Groot, Groot's son or just a clone of Groot? If it's the second then Groot is still Groot.

lockner01 Might not all these Groot points be moot? While some might not give a hoot, one can't deny that Baby Groot's cute. And a cute Groot tends to encourage interest, that's beyond dispute.

Will definitely make money hand over fist.

Especially since Marvel moved the release date so that it doesn't conflict with Solo.

So many great movies coming out this summer: RPO and Wreck it Ralph 2 will be awesome nostalgia movies, and Avengers, Ant Man, Deadpool 2, and Incredibles 2, super "hero" movies. Woot woot!

Fuck. Yes. I'm an unabashed geek for these things. I've never had more fun in a movie theater than the first Avengers movie (except when my high school GF gave me a handy during Titanic, but that really wasn't so much about the movie).
