All well and good, but what about reparations to those poor folks - they had real damages - they spent money on lawyers, they may have done jail time, may have lost jobs, been ineligible for other jobs which would impact their lifetime earning potential, they may have lost relationships for having been convicted/incarcerated.
What about reparations, i say.
No justice, no peace!
I just feel so ... triggered by all this.

captkangaroo well actually, screw them for breaking the law!  They are lucky their records are getting cleaned up.  I do not want a cent of MY tax money going to pay these law breakers.

captkangaroo It's the stoner's burden. Wake up to all the brainwashing in society, get called a brainwashed conspiracy theorist. Master basic economics by 15, get thrown in jail for dealing weed. Have actual original ideas and solutions to problems, get shit on because the idea is too original and not historically tried and "true". Never get an opportunity for a real job because employers would rather hire raging alcoholics that come in hung over as all hell and can barely function but "at least they don't use drugs".

Oh my, does this now replace the traditional 'White man's burden'?
My issue is not whether recreational use of marijuana is good or bad, harmful or benign, nor whether or not the war on drugs has been boon or bust, i was simply masking fun of the jackasses that were on that podium spouting their bullshit.
