Texas Judge Interrupts Jury And Says God Told Him The Defendant Is Not Guilty

Submitted by: Gerry1of1 6 months ago in News & Politics
“When God tells me I gotta do something, I gotta do it.” Current Texas Judge Jack Robison

A Texas district judge in Comal County said God told him to intervene in jury deliberations to sway jurors to return a not guilty verdict in the trial of a woman accused of trafficking a teen girl for sex.

Judge Jack Robison (pictured above) apologized to jurors for the interruption, but defended his actions by telling them "when God tells me I gotta do something, I gotta do it," according to the Herald-Zeitung in New Braunfels.

The jury went against the judge's wishes, finding Gloria Romero-Perez guilty of continuous trafficking of a person and later sentenced her to 25 years in prison. They found her not guilty of a separate charge of sale or purchase of a child.

There is no way on this earth that he should hold any position of influence or power. Disgraceful.

In no way shape or form should this man be a fucking judge. This is what the hell is wrong with this country.....well part of it anyway. So glad the jury decided to sidestep the LORD and do their civic duty.

Oh sure. God tells him to let someone off and that's ok. God tells me to set fire to a series of public buildings and suddenly I'm the bad guy.

So he bases his decisions on what the voices in his head tell him?  Great.  I see who's going to be Trump's next nominee for a federal judicial position.

What if a defendant were to say God told him to commit a crime?  Oh yeah, that already happens.  They go to the loony bin.

I don't see the issue here?  Is this Judge not a  good "Christian"  God told him to do it!  Therefore must be okay right?  Now this is going to get the Religious liberty folks up in arms?  With the amount of Guff and defense they gave to that Anti Gay marriage lady in Kentucky I wonder if they'll do the same here.  Ted Cruz, MIke Huckabee?  God spoke to her as well if you remember.

On my real opinion, This judge is in the WRONG profession.  Put a collar on and head to the priesthood.  If that's where you want to hear voices in your head telling you to do something go there with the like minded.

I saw this and couldn't figure out how to share it here without splattering my rage over everyone.

This guy has no business being a judge.
