The video is about 25 min long, you can watch it at 2x or 3x speed and still understand all the processes.

My partners family all have the log cabins in Finland. The older ones were built by their grandfather and uncle together. The new ones were prefabricated as is the way now. Same with the toilet no longer a bucket in a outhouse some advanced biodegradable thing.

Very interesting.
There's a great YouTube channel - Mr. Chickadee, who uses traditional tools and methods to construct buildings, furniture and a few other things. Worth checking out.

I'd prefer to have mine per-fabricated and then delivered to site and assembled by the fabricator's crew.  Pioneer Log Homes from Alberta are world class at this.  There are 4 seasons of a television show detailing their projects, called Timber Kings.

I would think it incredibly involved and difficult to build a house of that nature with all modern equipment, doing so much with simple handaxes and awls is just amazing to me.

Of course i do not have their skill, but I do not know how many people left in the world do.
