STOP The End of Net Neutrality: One Site To Stop Them All

Submitted by: kalron27 1 week ago in News & Politics Tech

I'm not big on giving out info on the interwebz, but this site has been created to utilize every tool available to get the message out to your local Congressmen to voice your opinion and stop the end of Net Neutrality.

The site uses your address and zipcode to generate an email to your local Congressmen for you from one simple site. No fuss, no muss looking up the details, the site pulls from .gov databases and directs it accordingly. It also will provide you with a location of any local protests if you are interested as well as TONS of information.

If you ever share one thing from IAB, share this post -- it makes it very easy to reach out to your local congressmen and women.

BATTLE FOR THE NET! Spread the word, there is only 3 weeks left.

You know that even if this succeeds, and it stops what you want, the turnout this time will be far less than it was last time.  And you know what?  If it doesn't pass this time, you can bet your life savings they will try again.  And you know what?  You can bet your winnings on that, that sooner or later people are just not going to care, and then they'll push it through when lack of people speak up.  That's how the western media delusion works folks: wear them down with repetitiveness until they don't care, then shove it to em' with all your might while lying through your teeth calling it 'needed' and 'normal'.

You really only have one option:

Gather in growing numbers, and chant 4 simple words:
  1. DEATH
  2. TO
  3. THE
  4. PRESIDENCY
Then persist, win, and instill new governance to stop this sort of thing.

It's your right.  It's your duty.

I like your thinking, but you need to think bigger.
Death to every federal employee - from the president right down to the guy thank cleans the toilet in In the capital building, and therefore aids and gives comfort to the enemy.
State governments are no better.

monkwarrior Regarding your first paragraph, the fact that Trump won and the New Deal seriously weaken your argument that "sooner or later people are just not going to care". Eventually after getting shafted, the people rise up and demand something better. See the American (to an extent), French, and Bolshevik Revolutions.

holygod Just because you don't like someone exposing the grim reality of your sad nation, doesn't make them a troll, it simply shows you're upset over the fact, and either too proud to do anything about it, to dependent on its corruption, or too fearful to do anything.  The worst part is you can't even stand up to those who expose the grim truth, you have to bite your tongue, and accept it, because you know if they know how to expose grim truths, they'll be able to expose yours.

monkwarrior That document is not my document; I am not American.  I did not equate "your declarations" with the Declaration of Independence, as that document is a huge leap from my comment.

You make the claim that chanting death to the presidency will change the governance.  I made the claim that changing the clown at the top will not change the rulers.  Politicians are the folks that are nominally in charge.  The folks calling the shots, we don't see.  And those folks are not changed by removing/replacing the politicians.

I did this. The call feature is awesome. They call your phone and then connect you to a string of the relevant Congress people and senators.

This isn't political. We all need to do this. We're all in this together. We all suffer if net neutrality goes away.

Having been around since the beginning, I liked the internet the way it was before the government started poking it's big fat snout into it. I can say that about most things though.

trimble How is moving to a system like Portugal has better for anyone?  The internet has become a utility.  Absolutely necessary for society to function.  It cannot be allowed to be run at the whim's of Capitalism.  Greed will win out over public good if Net Neutrality is removed.

Fuck Trump, his internet goon has comcast salivating over the money they will make.

https://arstechnica.com/tech-policy/2017/11/comcast-quietly-drops-promise-not-to-charge-tolls-for-internet-fast-lanes/

The Democrats need to make sure every human on earth understand that the destruction of net neutrality is 100% because of Trump and the Republicans.

Sadly, my voice counts for naught.  'Tis always this way: the elephant on the continent rolls over and we feel the aftershocks.

I give you my best wishes, although the fix is already in.  The politicians have been bought and the die has been cast.

"pay to win" is the new internet mantra.  Welcome back to the 21st century's equivalent of the railroad barons.
