Earthquake hits border of Iran And Iraq.

The 7.3 magnitude earthquake that hit the border of Iran and Iraq left more than 350 people dead across both countries and could be felt as far as the Mediterranean coast, authorities said on Nov. 13, 2017. Loved ones mourned the victims of the quake in the devastating aftermath.

Very sad, not like these people needed anymore hardships.  This could have turned out much less tragic if rebar was used in their construction.  I see none of it.  In places of questionable construction, their concrete mix is not overseen and they make more profit by selling a much weaker product like drug dealers cutting up their stuff.  In the western world, we have to have an engineer approve the aggregates used for structural purposes.

abetterworld Apparently the buildings which collapsed the most were recently constructed by the government. 5 or 6 stories and down they went :x
That area had a huge quake about 10-15 years ago too, it's not like they didn't know another one was coming, they are inevitable.

I was talking (typing) in a game with a person from Iran when this hit. She said her house was shaking and stuff. She was quite far away from the epicenter fortunately.
