Damn, she would be 74 today.  Yet she is forever young in our eyes.

Senator Tim Kaine (D) (remember him?) has aged 15 years since the 2016 election:
http://www.thetruthaboutguns.com/2017/10/robert-farago/senator-tim-kaine-las-vegas-shooter-stopped-didnt-silencer-weapon/

And he's just as retarded as ever.
Really Tim? The police were drawn to the shooter's location because they heard the sounds of gunshots? And a 'silencer' would make the shots so quiet no one could have heard them? Really?

This sort of orchestrated liberal hysteria over a NON-ISSUE is repulsive. The fact that the bodies weren't even counted yet and the "no silencers!" messages came pouring out of every Democrat speaks volumes...

For the record? The cops took 2 HOURS to find him because he stopped shooting (and killed himself) not long after he started. They found him because the smoke alarm in his room was going off. The sounds of gunfire had ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with it. Even if he had used a suppressor? It still makes plenty of noise!

Something new about the shooting itself:
https://www.reviewjournal.com/local/the-strip/las-vegas-strip-shooter-targeted-aviation-fuel-tanks-source-says/

Interesting! It wouldn't have caused much harm even if he had blown them up (which was extremely unlikely!) but he was a pilot and knew the area well so... it makes twisted sense?

While I agree gun control is a joke, suppressors are not. They are very effective. And, thank goodness, legal.

captkangaroo Yes, 99.99% are used to preserve hearing in the user, not for crimes! Nothing at all like Hollywood shows, yes?

Nothing is like Hollywood shows, I suppose.
I have friends that use .22 rifles for varmint control on their properties who use suppressors. Using subsonic ammunition, the action is louder than the report.
I have friends that hunt using AR types weapons - with suppressors. Not nearly as quiet as a .22, but pretty damn quiet all the same.
I have a modified Ruger 10/22 that I plink with - I have targets set up out back - with a suppressor, you really can't hear the thing from 50 yards out. I got a integrally suppressed barrel, it does a good job, but not as good - nor quite as accurate -  as the threaded can on the longer barrel.

5cats "...cops took 2 HOURS to find him because he stopped shooting (and killed himself) not long after he started..."  Wrong!  A security guard went to investigate the shooting sounds, and was discovered and shot due to the cameras the shooter positioned around his room (including a room service cart outside his room).  Said security guard alerted police, and they were on the 32nd floor within 12 minutes of when the shooting started.  Apparently the shooting lasted 10 minutes.  All this according to the radio program I was listening to on my way in.

How ANYONE can argue against stricter gun control laws in the wake of this shooting is beyond comprehension.  But I suppose I shouldn't be surprised.  A few years ago 20 or so six-year-olds were gunned down in their classrooms, and nothing changed.  It's sickening, and sad.

People who think stricter gun control won't make a difference are either complete idiots, or they have absolutely no conscience or compassion.  I'm guessing it's both, though.

skeeter01 I'd heard a security guard got shot, but had not heard how. It still took them 2 hours to blow the door open though, he was likely dead after 12 minutes eh?

What specific gun law would have prevented this? Explain in detail how. Or STFU.

5cats really?  How about banning sales on assault weapons, or high-volume magazines?  You know, the ones your party abjectly refused to even discuss shortly after Sandy Hook.

skeeter01 It took 72 minutes to locate the exact room, not 12 for fuck's sake. He was long dead and had stopped shooting, THAT is why it took so long. WHAT police department could get to the 32nd floor in 12 minutes? Jesus...

12? They didn't even get the swat team there until 100+ minutes after it started!

Shows what you know... shit, as expected.

You literally know NOTHING about this, yet here you are RANTING?

Assault Weapons = highly restricted since 1986. NO new ones allowed! And almost never used in crimes.
High capacity magazines are almost never used in crimes, why ban them when they are very effective for home defence?
You are clueless, please buy a vowel or something...

rumham Are you illiterate? Do the words "OPEN FORUM" hold no meaning in your lexicon?
I await your sincere apology.

It is difficult for me to offer submissions, Chrome freezes my PC a lot. If I post them in Open Forums and Fancy thinks they're good? He can post them himself (or under my name, whatevers!) for the greater audience to see too. Ok?
