I cant believe how wild the innuendos about this photo. It looks like a  model posing for a photo which is what she is/was the fact that its her son is not relevant,  maybe the kid is just playing photographer may be thats what he wants to be and she is just encouraging him. The kids 11 years old for gods sake they both are fully clothed  and the position is a little odd but not for a photo of a model that is your mother, have you never wanted a real good photo of your mother, may be he has the talent to do it or is trying to get it.

Actually, they're tacky old money.  Trumps family is related to the Heinz people and their fortunes go back to Victorian times.

This proves Money don't buy Class.

Gerry1of1 New Money- if it hasn't been around for 300 years they're new. If you have to buy your furniture, or your house you are Nouveau. An elderly lady of fairly ancient lineage ( the house has been theirs since about 1650) regards The Queen as dubious.

Gerry1of1 - it's quite funny in many ways as there are more than a few really old aristocratic families who are quite hard up- the huge houses have either been demolished or handed over to the National Trust, but unless you can endow your pile they are not really interested now. Which leaves a few who have owned lovely small manor houses for centuries, a small income if they have agricultural land, but if you can't get EU grants, and you can't run big shoots it struggles to pay for upkeep on listed buildings. They tend to be fucking baltic, have dodgy electrics, the serious art and furniture gets sold when the roof need repairing and those who haven't sold up to a banker are unlikely to do so now out of principle. You can see why the tasteless muck shown above would leave them quivering with fury...

madduck I'm a fan of Restoration Home. I can't believe what some of them go through but it's worth it I think....if you've got the money..... to have those amazing country homes. The US doesn't have anything like it.  50 years is considered "old" here.

I'd love to visit Chatsworth.  The death duties in UK are horrible though

Gerry1of1 - they get avoided- if people are sensible they put it into a trust. Sadly though too many are lazy and arrogant. The smaller manors are ( I think) nicer, many are simply private homes, the preserved in aspic look is okay for a massive pile but a house should be lived in. The very best do have a good shoot or a reasonable farm on the estate and are kept up as a family home, each generation upgrading a bit... that way the plumbing is sort of functional and the electrics just about safe!!

If you are walking through a castle in Europe and enter a really over-the-top room it will almost always be for Louis the Fourteenth. Trumps penthouse is worse. It is so over the top with gold, marble and pillars. What a narcissist.

If you think that is inappropriate you did not get enough affection from your mother.

markust123 You're right. The Trumps just have a more "hands on" approach to parenting.

Just because Don publicly says he'd date his daughter if she wasn't his daughter, says that sex is one of Ivanka's and his favorite shared hobbies, sexualizes his daughter's body type, and gives Howard Stern the green light to call his daughter a "piece of ass," doesn't mean there's incestuous tendencies in the family. No sir!

fancylad That's Trump.  He's a gross old man with many, many problems.  This picture is just a picture of a son sitting on his mom's lap.  It's just a picture of a good mom spending time with her son.  There's nothing sexual or wrong about the original picture.

markust123 i dont think it is appropriate, but ill be the first to admit that i did not receive a lot of affection from my mother as a child. i try though, i dont ask her what the best part of her day was just because my dad isnt around to talk to her.

robthelurker That sucks. The kid's only 11. A mom should be able to cuddle with her 11 year old son.

Yeah, pretty wild and over-the-top behavior there with a kid taking pictures of his mom fancy. With such debauchery going on I guess things like what is going on with Harvey Weinstein pale in comparison so no need to post anything on that at IAB.

trimble "If anyone submits something on it" it sounds to me like you and i are the only ones who care about that fat piece of shit finally getting whats been coming to him for all these years. but to be fair, this isnt like bill cosby. everyone knew and loved bill cosby. but harvey weinstein? most people only know the names of the actors they see on the screen, like bill cosby, not everyone pays attention to who the producers are. and the people who knew harvey weinstein already knew he was a piece of shit.

trimble To be honest, I didn't think anyone would give a fuck about the Weinstein story. Anytime a story about celebrities goes up, most people say "who gives a fuck about rich, white, privileged Hollywood stars?"

If anyone submits something on it, it'll go up, but I've seen celebrity items play out and it's never receptive.

fancylad oh, im not saying that you didn't pull back, you did for a good while and it was noticeable, but it DID get to a point where folks were threatening to leave IAB over it.  It was MUCH worse.  yes, you listened but the stupid shit ( like this) is still rampant.  pro/or against, im tired of seeing his face, especially over non-issues like a child photographing his mother ffs.

melcervini There are at least 10 Trump stories that can go on the home page every day -- all shitty, factual narratives of what a mentally inferior fuckhole America's president is.

I try and find the oddest ones because that what people what to read about and comment on. I don't try to figure out why Trump posts get 10 times more comments and views and a puppy video gets, that's just what piques interests.

And I feel no sympathy for any of Trump's kids, as he has no sympathy for mine or yours (if you have any). From the two inbred daddy's boys who go on safari and kill elephants and lions, to the daughter he habitually sexualizes who claims she's a feminist and pro-American (yet does everything to prove otherwise), and yes, if Barron's straddling his mother's thighs while she grips his prepubescent loins -- it's all fodder to pass the day.

Do you think the GOP didn't shit on the Obama girls? I can link to petty bullshit like this and this all day long, so spare me the "let's leave the kids out of this" rhetoric.

What are the pics sitting next to her? One of them looks like boob.

As much as I want to say that's weird, if he was her daughter, it would be perfectly normal to do that. So to say it's wrong for a boy to do that is wrong :/

melcervini a sign of a good mother is one that still shows affection to them after they reach adolescence. Cuddling your children is the best way to show you care about them.

layla_wilson well i guess you and i have different opinions on what is normal and what is creepy. i certainly wouldnt consider it appropriate for my kids to sit on mine or their mothers or anyones lap for that matter after the age of 10 at least. after you get to a certain age, you are too big to sit on mommys and daddys and grandparents and the creepy mall santas lap. clearly thats not how everyone does it, and i think that is creepy. it makes me think of that "so thats how it is in their family" scene in ferris buellers day off.

melcervini i think it can be detrimental to a childs growth for parents and other adults to remain too physically close in certain ways as the child begins to mature. it is up to the parent to identify when their child is beginning to mature, and what is considered appropriate physical behaviour, within law. im not saying i wouldnt hug my children as they got older, or that i would be uncomfortable to ride on the back of my hypothetical sons motorcycle. im just saying that you dont want to coddle your kids too long unless you want them to wind up like norman bates.

melcervini i would do what ever my child needed me to do. if that meant holding them when ever they needed to be held, then i would do it. i would also build them a hugging machine like the one i saw in the hbo temple grandin film. and if they didnt like the hugging the machine, then i would take it down, continue to hold them, and look for other ways that might help them become more independent. not for my sake, for theirs. if ultimately what was needed was for me to hold my child until i died, i would, and i would do everything i could to find some one i could trust to take care of them after im gone. i would do everything i could to make it right for my child.

melcervini im not trying to slant innuendo on melania and her son. i just think the photo is creepy and weird, period, end of story. i only think it is creepy and weird because i do not consider it normal behaviour, but peoples opinions of normal behaviour vary. i think it is sweet that you still cuddle with your 26 and 29 year old boys, but also kind of weird because i would never cuddle with my mother. you just have a different relationship with your boys than i do with my mother, its not actually weird, i just cant help but think so. this is just a photo of the first lady of america with her son, i think it is a little creepy and weird, and thats it. no innuendo slant!

robthelurker "no innuendo slant!", "it makes me think of that "so thats how it is in their family" scene in ferris buellers day off." ... right, okay, maybe a little innuendo slant, but thats just what automatically came to mind. i know i shouldnt let the weird relationship between ivanka and donald influence my opinion of this photo, but still. im not judging the trump family, just think its creepy and weird and unfortunately the line from ferris buellers day off automatically comes to mind. i really really dont mean to infer any incest between the presidential family. oh for christ sakes rob just stop what the fuck is wrong with you?
