Maxwell The Pig Still Entertains

From 2012 to 2014, GEICO's spokespig somehow made auto insurance entertaining. He also liked to cry "Wee wee wee!" all the way home.

Just a note on these commercials that someone may find interesting: When the commercial with Maxwell and the brunette in the car waiting for a tow was aired, it caused an uproar with an advocacy group called One Million Moms.

Monica Cole, the director of One Million Moms, said the ad promotes bestiality and wanted GEICO to pull it immediately: "It was just a pretty sleazy type of commercial," she said, "because the girl was really disappointed when she realized they wouldn't be able to pass the time alone together."

Cole was also critical of GEICO's gecko character: "A bridesmaid was flirting with the gecko in a different commercial, so this is just becoming a norm for GEICO it seems," Cole said.

layla_wilson When I first read this comment of yours, Layla, I laughed. Then I made the mistake of clicking Jeff's link and watching 30 seconds and I was traumatized by that scene all over again. Seriously, that's one of the most disturbing scenes ever committed on film. OMG.

layla_wilson Do you mean this scene?

I think it has scarred many of us.  My sister asked me the other day if she should watch that movie because she never has...  I of course told her yes.

How does a pig without thumbs and fingers do so well with a touch screen device whilst I struggle with it?

fuad119 That's a fair question. I don't have particularly large hands, but I hate typing on touch screens.
