pinkminx22 My thoughts exactly. He has such a cute tuft of white fur on this chest. And that meow: "Meowrlllll...." Did you see his eyes dilate right before the pounce?

So...to anyone on IAB...

We lost our Oobie Monster this week.  19 years old (14 years I knew her).  She was tired and let us know it was time.

This cat was 2 year younger than my human son.  She accepted me day one.

I came with a human child, my wife came with a cat...they are both our family.

To Oobie!

There was only one of her...

boredhuman I beg to differ

Dogs = Cats > Humans

kalron27 squirrels or human or dogs or cats > space gophers

That's the big picture. I'll let the rest of you argue out the details of the first part of the expression.

boredhuman I don't think they're comparable.  I love them both, each for their own reasons.

littlemissqt I first saw your new image about 2 weeks ago, Cutie. It's so odd how the images are delayed for some but not others. And I've seen Jeff's image flip back and forth tonight about three times.

squrlz4ever That's definitely -not- what I'm seeing.
I'm seeing the giraffe?

Except when I go into his profile. Then I see the doggo.

DuckBoy87 LOL! I'm hoping what you're seeing is the reddish, low-res iguana image. If it's a giraffe, clearly there is a poltergeist loose in the system and we need to call an exorcist.  O.O

squrlz4ever I guess you're right; is an iguana.
To me it just looks like someone took a picture of giraffe when the giraffe was right above the photographer.
Doesn't help with the green in the upper right, making it look like a tree is right next to its head.

cjeffblanchr Strangely enough, in the time since I wrote my last comment to you and now, I've seen your avatar flip back to the old image and then flip back again to the new. I can only surmise that IAB is running off cloud servers and there's some delay involved in getting the different servers in synch. If so, yes, you should see the new avatar shortly.

As for why the avatar wouldn't update for weeks or months prior to today, I have no idea. It's a bit of a head-scratcher.

Stupid owner.  Behavior like this is learned.  You did not train this animal properly.  You let it run you.  Hell, it if had opposable thumbs, it would be using your television remote and forcing you to watch animal planet and the aquarium channel.  Its your fault for anthropomorphizing an animal.

Any cat of mine that tried that shit would find itself up for sale for $0 at best, or sharing a sack with a brick - slowly sinking.

marsii You're so right (I mean the squirt bottle part). I'd forgotten all about that training technique. Yes, a few squirts a day would probably go a long way toward improving Maxwell's attitude.

My sister used to use that technique with her cat. It worked wonderfully, with one drawback. One day the cat was lounging on the sofa in the living room (which was permitted), and my sister came in to do some cleaning. She had some Windex and paper towels and spritzed a mirror. Well, the sound caused her cat, a big, fluffy Maine Coon, to go absolutely berserk. It ran out of the room like it was shot out of a cannon, nearly knocking over a table lamp in the process. From then on, she stopped using the sprayers on cleaning products and had to wet the rag or paper towel to apply them.
