Martin Shkreli Jailed After Facebook Post About Hillary Clinton

Submitted by: kalron27 1 month ago in News & Politics

Finally... Fuck this guy.

An excerpt from The Washington Post: "A federal judge on Wednesday revoked the $5 million bail of Martin Shkreli...While awaiting sentencing, Shkreli has harassed women online, prosecutors argued, and even offered his Facebook followers $5,000 to grab a strand of Hillary Clinton’s hair during her book tour."

“The fact that he continues to remain unaware of the inappropriateness of his actions or words demonstrates to me that he may be creating ongoing risk to the community,” said U.S. District Judge Kiyo Matsumoto, in revoking his bond."

Yeah... I have ZERO fucks to give right now.

It's very simple & politics & Hillary Clinton have nothing to do with it. He violated the terms of his bail. If he made the same statement & instead of Clinton he said Steve Scalise the result would be the same.

dmitry Ah, a very good point! I sure hope the result would be the same... but hundreds of people (celebrities) have threatened President Trump and none of them are in jail... or have bail conditions even.
This guy is a kook, let him stew in jail for a while, might smarten him up a little.

Hopefully all the hundreds of people, and dozens of celebrities, who openly threatened Trump will also face a judge too.

One rule of law for all: that's the way it's supposed to work. If it's a crime to threaten, however indirectly, Hillary? Then it's also a crime to threaten President Trump.

And yes, placing a bounty on her hair is a threat.  This guy's a kook and needs a big dose of reality.

5cats you say one rule of law for all.  OK, fair enough.  But I wonder, how do you feel about Trump and his family to profiting directly from his office - which is PROVEN to be the case for him?  I mean, you were pretty upset about the widely-accepted right-wing assumption (but NEVER proven) profiteering of the Clintons and Obamas?  Remember now, none of Trump's predecessors were ever proven to be on the take while in office, and yet Trump is doing so... openly... and with what appears to be the approval of everyone on the right.

skeeter01 Never proven... lolz! No, she got $225,000 for a canned speech and not even a 'meet and greet' afterwards because she's such a dynamic speaker!
And the 'pay for play' it just happens that 65% of those she met in 4 years were heavy donors to the Foundation, pure coincidence!

Meanwhile? The MSM won't let President Trump pick his nose without it being FRONT PAGE news... his multi-billion dollar business is bound to be involved in something the Gov't does, it is utterly unavoidable. If he breaks the law? He should get punished.
But Hillary broke dozens of laws, and she walked, and so did all her staff. The precedent is set.

5cats Getting paid to speak because she is famous as a result of her public position is VERY different from being paid directly by making the government house the government employees on your staff in the properties you own.  Trump could choose to spend his weekends in any resort in the country, but he chooses his own.  And as a result of choosing his own properties, he gets the government he is supposed to be leading to pay him for providing room and board to the secret service and his staff who accompany him.  So, he is DIRECTLY profiting from his office, because he has not recused himself from his businesses.  Nothing the Clintons nor the Obamas were accused of doing - regardless of the right or wrongness of those accusations - comes close to what Trump is doing.  And this is just ONE example.  Where is your outrage?

skeeter01 Um, no?
Lots of former PotUS and Vice-P have done exactly that. Rented properties they owned out to the SS or other Gov't branches for their security staff. So... you are simply wrong. NEXT!

In her book? It is revealed that Hillary bought the house next door to one of their vacation homes specifically to rent out to the SS. How can you claim Trump broke the law if ALL those other officials do this routinely? Are they in jail?

Clinton committed dozens of FEDERAL FELONIES for fuck's sake! Compare that to this? It isn't even illegal or even immoral to rent space to the SS guarding you. Put the Kool-Aid down and think a moment, okie?

5cats Again, not the same thing.  Former POTUSs are given a protection detail due to their former position as head of state.  Either they put these people up in their own home, or they create a space for them - maybe in an apartment over the garage, or in a separate home nearby.  They can choose to charge rent, or they can choose not to, it's up to them.  What Trump is doing is purposefully choosing to go to his own properties while he is still in the position as head of state, knowing full well the Government will be paying him directly, and that he will receive profit from this venture.  But whatever.  Let's just agree we can't make blind people see.

skeeter01 And again, Biden (for example) while in office, staying at his beach mansion, rented out his guest cottage to the SS for $2500 a month (or something). Is that not the exact same thing? You don't think Biden knew the SS were staying in his cottage?

Hopefully Trump gives the SS a discount and stuff, keep them happy eh? :-) Send up some late night snacks :->

Given his wealth, he should get a lawyer on retainer to ensure everything he does gets vetted. He needs a filter. Trump needs a filter too. His daughter has utterly failed in that role.

I think the guy is a jerk, but it is unreasonable to conclude he is 'soliciting violence' by offering money for hair.

captkangaroo As much as I dislike Hillary Clinton, offering money for a strand of her hair IS soliciting violence, as there are some sick people out there willing to scalp her for the reward he has proposed.

Hair fall out, tangles up in brushes - many ways to get a hair sample without violence - or even being in the same place at the same time as the target - er, I mean, subject.

captkangaroo So they break into her bathroom to steal it off her hairbrush? O_o
I think he said to pull it out while she made public appearances on her book tour, but IDK, it is still soliciting violence.

captkangaroo Unreasonable? OK, let's have Jimmy Kimmel show a photo of you and offer $100K to everyone in the public for a strand of your hair, and see how well you enjoy the next few months.

Did Shkreli specifically state that in order to get the cash the hair had to be yanked out? - I did not bother to clickyclicky the link.

just2talk Two main differences between those entertainers and the Screlli scumbag are that the entertainers aren't walking around with a $5 million bail and the entertainers didn't ask anyone else to do the dirty work....just themselves (or god)
There are a LOT of unstable people who would attack someone if told to do so....fortunately for trump, most of those people voted for him.

Well slap my ass and call me Sally.

When I read this submission, I thought it was an article from The Onion. I've watched his YouTube livestreams a couple times -- he's fucking clueless when it comes to the real world. It's like he lives in a bubble with no laws or repercussions. I'd love to jump into a time machine and see how his parents raised him, if they did at all. He just has no self-awareness.

This article made me really happy.
