Elon Musk Claims SpaceX Can Colonize Mars And Build Moon Base

Submitted by: fancylad 10 months ago in News & Politics Science

In a report from The Guardian, Elon Musk just unveiled the plans for his next spacecraft (codenamed the "Big Fucking Rocket") which would allow SpaceX to build a moon base and colonize Mars.

It was also revealed in a speech at the International Astronautical Congress in Australia, that his Big Fucking Rocket will permit commercial travel to anywhere on Earth in less than an hour, and that that SpaceX will hopefully launch its first "anywhere on Earth" Big Fucking Rocket by 2022, with four in total, flying to Mars in the two years afterward.

On a side note, that woman in the photo up above is Maye Musk, the 69-year-old model, dietitian,  and mother of Elon at this year's Vanity Fair Oscars party. Yowza.

If private citizens has enough money to colonize Mars and build a moon base, I don't see the justifications for more tax breaks for the rich.

I don't get this guy. He's like a snake oil salesman, but then he sells it all to himself and tells you how great is is while quaffing it.

You quaff snake oil, right? Or is more of an imbibe?

profworm I've been saying that for years. He's a very successful con man that sells pipe dreams.. hell he's literally trying to sell a pipe. Lot of 'his ideas" were actually dreamed up in the 1920s and determined unfeasible by the 1940s.

dm2754 Eh? He's making good on a lot of those promises. He does sell the dream a bit, but he also delivers fairly regularly.

Big fucking rocket. Sounds safe.... >.>

How about investing In alternative propulsion engines that don't rely on volatile, non-renewable combustible fuel?

After all, it is possible. Mercury based plasma, highly pressurised at a certain temperature, spinning around a central object at a high rpm. Boom anti-gravity. But shhh, your not allowed to know that. And expect to be shut down by the government/disappear/die from "natural causes" if you successfully create an anti-gravity engine.

It's only a matter of time before they fully become public knowledge, not until all the oil is drilled and sold to make as much money before it becomes obsolete.
