Shelworth It's funny. Part of me wants to call you a grumpy old man, but I'm 35 and 67, 68, and 69 are easily the 3 best songs on here in my opinion.

So many of these are SO lame...
But 1992 is a paramount of goodness!
1991, 1990.. zomg that sux so hard...
1995 That's a great song by any measure...
Oh...my... ghod... My year has one of the lamest songs... (it's "ok" but far from "great") Yes 1981.
1972 is a song about suicide... just FYI.

daegog A lot of good Metal came out of the 80's.  Otherwise I agree.

daegog That's why there's more then one station on the radio, different taste.

My tastes can best be described as 'eclectic' (or as my wife puts it, 'batshit crazy'). My iPod has everything from Styx, Marty Robbins, Carl Orf, John Phillips Sousa, Weird Al, Jimmy Buffet, Croce, Five Fingered Death Punch and many more.

holygod About once a year, I have the need to sit in a dark room with a cognac, a fine cigar (usually a Gurkha) and crank Carmina Burana by Carl Orff through some serious speakers (at least 18" woofers required, and a lot of power).

Other albums worth listening to from start to finish:
Days of Future Passed by the Moody Blues.
Tales of Mystery & Imagination by The Alan Parsons Project.
Jeff Wayne's Musical Version of The War of the Worlds
Tyger by Tangerine Dream

5cats I mean, I have heard of them. I am vaguely aware there is a band named Styx. However, I can't even get in the ballpark of naming a song. I was born in 82 and didn't really get into music till the mid 90s.

We belong together. I wholeheartedly disagree. To any one who graduated HS in or before 1967, I am jealous.
