Hey guys. If the world has you down or you get sick of all the debating and divisiveness, this should help for a few minutes at least.

I think every home should have a dog, especially one with kids (the home, not the dog).  I didn't get my first dog until I was 40 years old--was always more of a cat person--but I see how much I missed out on for all those years.  As much as I love all animals, I find a true companion with my boy.  I got him as an 8 week old, but if I actually survive the loss of him someday, which he's gone, I'm pretty sure I'll go for older, rescue dogs.  Shelters are the saddest thing in this existence, as far as I'm concerned.

HolyGod, after all the recent insanity on here, I think I need more than a palate cleanser. I need to be powerwashed with a 50:50 mix of lemon juice and hydrogen peroxide. Got anything for that?

holygod... this post had almost the opposite effect on me.  I am now filled with angst, as it proved my suspicions that I am probably going through a mid-life crisis.  I've never been a "cryer," as I have always been able to hold my emotions in check regardless of the situation. This was true for both of parent's funerals, and several other of life's hardships.  In fact, stoicism is one of the very few things about myself of which I'm proud.

But THIS god-damned post brought me to fucking tears!  WTF!?!?  Now, thanks to you and these god-damned puppies, I have to start worrying about E.D., and somehow finding the fucking cash to buy a corvette to help myself feel better about it!

FUCK!!!!!!!

skeeter01 It's interesting you say that. I haven't had to go through any funerals, other than grandparents, but I can't remember the last time i cried. This video legitimately made me tear up and I can't for the life of me figure out why. Maybe seeing other people so overcome with pure joy?

I just hope those fucking bastards dont abbandon the "gift" after 4 months. A dog is not "a gift" for all. A dog must be wanted and need  knowledge and responsibility.

piperfawn easy gamble 1/3 of these cute little bastards will be back up within a couple years. My dog's the best. Not just because of who he is, but because I slaved away hour after goddamed hour getting him to do as he's told. 4/5-9/10 Americans just don't have the backbone and determination to bring out most of what's best in their dogs, and for fucking shame. I, for one, will be getting the old and homeless from the shelter until the day I die. Doing otherwise when it's a life that would be taken away, it's unethical.

piperfawn Agreed, anyone who gets a child a pet as a gift should know going in that they are probably getting it for themselves.
